Well, hello!
I’m Ximena, writer, illustrator, speaker, and UX researcher. I’m the author of the forthcoming book The Life Audit: A Step-by-Step Guide to Discovering Your Goals and Building the Life You Want (available now for pre-order!), Rest Easy (2023), Listen Like You Mean It (2021), and a contributor at Fast Company and The Muse, where I write about professional and personal development. I also write this newsletter, where I explore what it means to live a creative, curious, and joyful life. My writing has appeared in Inc., Newsweek, Forbes, The Washington Post, and The Huffington Post, among others. My work as a user researcher informs much of my writing and draws from fields of psychology, anthropology, literature, and sociology. I am a keynote speaker on topics such as empathetic and inclusive listening, navigating difficult conversations, and preventing burnout. Previously, I worked at Pinterest, Twitter, and LinkedIn in both individual contributor and leadership roles.
